Uninterrupted growth since 1934

For more than 60 years, Schmidt—France’s leading manufacturer in the interior design industry—has brought together a passionate community united by a shared ambition: to design custom interior design solutions.

With 1,898 employees, 850 stores in 27 countries—including subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Spain, and Germany—and four production facilities in France and Germany, Schmidt Groupe has established a strong position in the market.

By 2030, the group aims to become the leading European manufacturer in its sector and operate 1,000 stores worldwide. To achieve this goal, Schmidt Groupe is facing a growing need for new hires.

A profession facing a shortage of workers

Schmidt is facing recruitment challenges in finding maintenance technicians, a profession for which there is a severe shortage in the job market.

Aware of the difficulty in recruiting skilled maintenance technicians in the fields of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics, automation, and electrical engineering, the company decided to turn to Bonanza to tackle this challenge.
Schmidt’s goal was to test a new recruitment channel that would allow it to reach passive candidates—who are difficult to reach through more traditional channels such as job boards.

Anna Grosson, Talent Acquisition Specialist at Groupe Schmidt:

“We turned to Bonanza to recruit maintenance technicians, a position for which there is a shortage of candidates in the industry.”

More than 734,000 talented individuals reached

Thanks to this innovative approach, Schmidt has successfully reached more than 734,000 potential candidates interested in maintenance technician positions. In addition, this campaign generated 6,885 unique clicks, demonstrating the appeal of the opportunities offered by the company.

But the numbers don't stop there. This strategy also generated a significant number of applications. Of these, 43% of the prequalified candidates advanced through the initial stages of the recruitment process, demonstrating the quality of the applications received.

These results demonstrate the effectiveness of the collaboration between Schmidt and Bonanza in addressing the shortage of maintenance technicians. The innovative recruitment strategy they implemented has attracted qualified and motivated candidates who are ready to take on the challenges of a 3x8 shift schedule.

"We achieved our goal, which was initially to hire one person but also to build our employer brand at the same time. It was a test that turned out to be very successful!"
